This course is intended for civil engineering students. Due to their future function, they are required to communicate either orally or in writing in situations as diverse as mandatory.  They are required to write technical reports of site situations, administrative reports, participate in and chair meetings. They are also required to participate in technical coordination meetings and meetings with socio-economic partners. This is how communication nowadays becomes an essential skill in the professional world and particularly in the world of construction and civil engineering.

This course of composite steel-concrete structures is of vital importance for Master or Engineer students. It calls upon knowledge of Strength of Material, Steel Structures and Reinforced Concrete. It also calls for different regulations such as Eurocodes 1, 2, 3 and 4 as well as the Algerian codes CBA, RPA and RNV. Most of all, it gives the students all the technics and methods for designing and calculating such as structures. 
This course is composed of five chapters: Design Philosophy and the Eurocodes, Composite Beams: simply supported and continuous-Shear Connections- Composite Slab, and Composite Columns.
